La colección “SPANISHNESS” se conforma de 21 looks y se basa en el “tópical spanish” pretende crear una relación entre la tradición y la cultura popular, tomando sus bases de los momentos más importantes de la historia de la moda en España pero dando un giro inspirándose en la cultura popular, la España cañí, el folclore y los tópicos que hacen de España un país único en el mundo.
Para ello el diseñador ha creado su propio imaginario sobre la España que le fascina repleta de personajes, objetos, experiencias y tradiciones de las cuales mama para presentar prendas repletas de guiños a la España kitsch, pero con las influencias estéticas de los acontecimientos más importantes en cuanto a moda se refiere durante la historia de nuestro país.
The "SPANISHNESS" collection, made up of 21 looks, is based on the "topical Spanish" and it pretends to create a relationship between tradition and popular culture.
The collection takes its base from the most important moments in the history of fashion in Spain but, being inspired by popular culture, the cañí Spain, the folklore, and the topics that make Spain a unique country in the world.
The designer has created his own Spanish imaginary with the stereotypes that fascinates him, full of characters, objects, experiences, and traditions to present garments full of references to the “kitsch” Spain, but with the influence of the most important events related to fashion during the history of our country.
Se trata de una manera contemporánea de “ironizar” con los símbolos y los tópicos cañís, utilizar el kitsch Español como tendencia reivindicativa que constituye un fenómeno social y cultural, como rasgo de estilo utilizando su estética de lo “hortera” y el exceso como objeto sublime y tomar la iniciativa de lo español, castizo y cañí.
It is a contemporary way to “ironize” with the cañí symbols and cliches, using Spanish “kitsch” as a claiming trend that constitutes a social and cultural phenomenon, by using its aesthetics of the "tacky" and excess as the idea of sublime object and take the advantage of the Spanish, the castizo and the cañí.
